Finding and fine tuning your fastball is such an important element to being successful in life. I recall when my son Dalton was in 2nd grade and his teacher told me that he was doing 4th grade math but only reading at a 1st grade level and she suggested a reading tutor. I told her that if he's doing math at 2 grades above his age, that I would be hiring a math tutor ASAP and that I would read to him more being immediately. My son is now 15 yo and on a solid path to a career as a pilot for the US Armed Forces (which requires a higher education in mathematics) and he loves to read... some fiction but mostly history.
